Do's and don'ts of cleaning glasses
Your glasses are the source to see the world if your vision isn’t the best. If you are not cleaning them in a proper way then it’s obvious to result with stains, smudges and scratches. Here are some do’s and don’ts to keep your glasses clean, smudge and scratches free.
Do wash your hands first
Before you proceed to clean your glasses wash your hands properly and dry thoroughly and make sure you don’t use a moisturizing hand wash because this could leave a residue on your hands which might smudge your lenses.
Do use lukewarm water to clean
You need to rinse lenses under lukewarm water before you wipe your lenses to wash away any dirt particles that might be on them. Always remember hot water can damage your lenses and their coating while cold water may not clean them sufficiently, cleaning lukewarm water is best.
Do use a microfiber cloth
Use a soft microfiber cloth that’s specially designed for your glasses lenses. Micro fiber cloths are lint free, instead of using a rag or a t-shirt.
Do store your glasses safely 
When you’re not using your glasses, protect them by storing them in the case. At the end of the day, clean them gently and store them in a sturdy case.
Don’t wipe it using paper towels, rags or with shirt
Paper towels or facial tissues are soft but are way too abrasive for your glasses even though they may seem soft don’t use them to clean your glasses.
Rags are abrasive and can scratch the lenses not suitable for glasses they can even scratch the frames. Avoid using rags.
Though cloths are convenient way to clean your glasses but they aren’t always the most effective and they are abrasive. Cloths may contain small dust particles. When you rub your lenses with your clothes, these particles could cause small scratches on them. 
Don’t use harsh cleaners
Avoid using cleaning agents which are harsh for your eyeglasses like bleach or ammonia on your glasses. 
Don’t try to buff out scratches
If  there a scratch on your glasses, don’t try to buffing it out which results in more scratches as well as a cloudy lens.
